Privacy Policy

At Schepo (accessible from schepo.com), we believe in fundamental user privacy and total self-hosted autonomy. Because Schepo runs locally on your own machine or private virtual server, your data belongs exclusively to you.

Key Privacy Principle: Schepo does not maintain a centralized cloud repository of your media files, scheduled posts, social media connection tokens, or AI prompts. All sensitive credentials are encrypted and stored locally on your own storage volume.

1. Information Handled by Your Local Schepo Instance

When you run Schepo on your computer or server:

OAuth Access Tokens & Refresh Tokens: Stored in your local encrypted database using industry-standard AES-256-GCM encryption at rest. Decryption keys never leave your host operating system.
Local Media & Drafts: Uploaded video files (MP4, H.264), images, thumbnails, and captions reside in your designated local workspace folder.
AI API Keys: Custom LLM keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Groq, or local Ollama) are stored in your secure local configuration vault and are dispatched directly to the respective model provider API endpoints.

2. Zero Central Telemetry & No Tracking

Schepo does not include hidden tracking scripts, keystroke loggers, user activity surveillance, or commercial analytics SDKs. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your content or personal identifiers.

3. Payment & Subscription Processing

When purchasing a Schepo license or subscription:

Payments are handled through PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways and Merchants of Record (such as Stripe, Razorpay, or Whop).
Schepo never collects, views, or stores your credit/debit card numbers or bank account credentials.
We only receive a cryptographic license activation receipt and email confirmation to grant access to advanced plan tiers.

4. Third-Party Platform APIs

Schepo interfaces with supported third-party platforms (including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack, Whop, and Shopify) strictly via their official published APIs and developer policies. Your use of these platforms remains subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

5. Data Deletion & Total Removal

Because your installation is self-hosted, removing Schepo or deleting your local workspace folder immediately purges all database records, tokens, logs, and media permanently from your hardware.
